Poetry

So in relation to the poet at TKS. He comes to every LA class and tells us how to write better poetry (in an indirect way, of course). So, the first 3 or 4 times we've had him, he's basically taught us pretty much nothing, and the school's actually paying him! So now we finally get to something, and what does he do??? He told us to do the exact OPPOSITE of what it says in our toolbox on how to write poetry--do NOT rhyme, rhyming takes away from the piece. "MAKE EVERY WORD RHYME!!!". So then Ms. Upchurch made an excuse for him, something like "He was trying to promote word usage" or something stupid like that. Sometimes I wonder about her. She is nice, though. We almost NEVER have HW in her class. =)

I'm so glad only a few DARE lessons left, and one poet session. ugh! =( the poet , =) no more of him!
